 Unlike a typical sporting goods store or department store, the Reno/Sparks Scheels is a collection of women’s, men’s, youth, specialty, sport and game shops.  Their unique brand-name concept shops are staffed with experts who are focused on their passions.  Beyond traditional retail, Special Attractions In-Store include a large Ferris Wheel, 16,000 gallon Aquariums, “try before you buy” archery range, Fudge Shop and Wildlife Mountain!  You have to see this place to believe it – join us!

                                            Mega Session – Getting from Good to Great!  Discover & Leverage your Natural          Leadership Talents

Tiffany Helley, Director of Human Resources, Douglas Stewart

           will present the Drake P3 Talent Assessment

During this highly interactive session, you will identify your communication style and gain greater awareness about the impact of your communication style on team interaction and performance.  You will gain information, when you create a personal development plan to put your natural talents to work!  In addition, you will examine individual team member’s communication style tendencies and learn “flex” strategies to enhance working relationships.  (Important Details – Pre-conference preparation: Participants will complete the Drake P3 Communication profile, included with registration value at $150 per person).

Round Table Sessions – Get Involved! (tables will be set with topics and moderators.  20 minute conversations allowing people to choose topics they are most interested in.)

1- Motivating Your Staff & Yourself – Attitudes are contagious.  What is the culture in your workplace?  How can we encourage our staff to become self motivated, goal oriented leaders?

2- Publisher Update A chance to speak about new and exciting services, products perspectives. 

3- Strategic Dialogue – Maximizing Course Materials Affordability. Talk about the value of becoming the on campus provider for affordable learning solutions on your campus.  Who is the expert on your campus?

4- Idea Exchange – Marketing and Promotions.  What worked and what didn’t?  What events are you holding at your store?  Bring examples! 

5- Building Your Brand discussion – Talk with Rachel Byrd from Grand Canyon Lope Shops.  How to build your brand by using a social influencer/student models.

6- The New Normal/Bridging the Generation Gap – Discuss challenges and unique situations in your store.  Over/Under 35 years discussion was the most highly rated from last year’s education sessions.  Let’s continue the conversation!  We learned that we all had the same goals.  We’re just different.  What have you learned this year? 

7- Merchandising Keys to Success – A recap and discussion of the Scheel’s Tour from yesterday and how to apply fresh tactics in your space. 

8- Group Reflection & Collaboration – What did you learn at CACS?  What do you plan to take back to your campus?  (This “session” will focus on the benefit of attending CACS conference from and attendee perspective) (all attendees will be asked to rotate to this table)
